Merapi eruption that occurred on October 26, 2010 has left a deep sorrow. Grief is felt not only because of destruction of property and livestock, but rather the loss of a beloved family member. Chronology of eruptions of mud in Sidoarjo:

The survey has made me sad, actually, because I stay and earn a living here in the capital. As most people know, Tanjung Priok port smuggling is not a new thing at all. Entrepreneurs who want to minimize their tax payments tend to do such a thing more often. They even bribe the officials.

The Fox and the Crow

One day, while he was out walking, a fox saw a crow swoop down and pick up a piece of cheese in its beak. The crow then flapped its wings and flew up onto a high branch in a nearby tree.

“Man, that's a tasty looking piece of cheese,” said the fox to himself.

“Hey, I should have that cheese. I’m the fox and I deserve it,” he said. “I’m a sly, smooth talking fox too. I’ll have it soon enough."

The fox walked over to the foot of the tree. “Hi ya, Miss Crow” cried the fox.

“How are you today?" asked the fox. "You’re looking mighty fine. Is there something different about you? Have you changed shampoo?"

"Your feathers look so glossy and black and your eyes are sparkling like diamonds," said the fox, flattering the crow. "Hey, have you lost weight? Your figure looks great,”

I Would Do It for Love

Once upon a time in a far away land, lived two families called the Darlan family and the Meissner family. The Darlan family had a daughter named Naya, while the Meissner family had a son named Arman. Naya and Arman had been friends since childhood and had lived in the country side for sixteen years of their life.

Unfortunately, one day, the Darlan family was called upon by the king as the family's men were very fine blacksmiths. The Darlan family had to move to the town because of the Kings demand. So Naya and Arman for the first time said goodbye to each other. Secretly, Arman vowed to work hard so that he could also work in town and finally meet Naya again.

Two years later, Arman had mastered some skills he thought he could put in good use in the town. Fulfilling his promise, he traveled to town and started to search for Naya. It was not a hard task, Naya's father had been granted the title of Duke by the King! Hurriedly, he visited Naya's own castle, but to his dismay, Naya did not want to meet him. "Maybe she is busy," he said to himself.

His determination to meet Naya did not waver, Arman found work as a builder in town. Each day, after work he would visit Naya's castle, but each day Naya refused to meet him. A few weeks passed by, Arman became sick, sick because he could not meet the childhood friend he so dearly loved. He had abandoned his work, making his friends he made at the working place concerned.

"Go and meet him once again Arman! Maybe this time you will be in luck!" said one.

"No. Maybe I was putting too much hope for her to love me. After all, we were just childhood friends."

Tim Tenis Meja Indonesia Akan Lebih Memfokuskan Pada Nomor Ganda Putra Di Asian Games Xv Yang Berlangsung Di Doha, Qatar, Bulan Desember 2006.

Ketua Bidang Pembinaan dan Prestasi PB PTMSI, Ir Deddy Kurniawan Wikanta ketika dihubungi di Semarang, Jumat, mengatakan, fokus di ganda putra ini karena peluang untuk mencuri medali cukup besar dibanding yang lainnya.
Melihat kenyataan seperti itu, kata dia, maka peluang petenis meja andalan Jateng, Yon Mardiono untuk masuk pelatnas Asian Games tetap besar, meski yang bersangkutan tidak ikut seleksi nasional (seleknas) di Jakarta beberapa hari lalu karena terkena penyakit demam berdarah (DB)."Dengan demikian, Yon mempunyai peluang besar untuk kita masukkan pelatnas. Meski ia tidak mengikuti seleksi, tapi semua tahu bagaimana kemampuannya," katanya menegaskan.Seperti diwartakan sebelumnya, petenis meja nasional andalan Jawa Tengah, Yon Mardiono mundur dari seleksi nasional (seleknas) untuk dipersiapkan tampil di Asian Games XV Doha Qatar karena sakit demam berdarah.
Ketua Komisi Pelatih Pengda PTMSI Jawa Tengah, Dustamat Jayawiguna, mengatakan, hari Jumat (20/1) adik kandung mantan petenis meja nasional, Anton Suseno itu menjalani perawatan inap di sebuah rumah sakit di Surabaya.
Padahal, lanjut dia, seleksi nasional pembentukan tim pelatnas Asian Games tersebut digelar di GOR Simprug Jakarta, 21-22 Januari 2006 dan Yon termasuk salah satu dari 12 atlet yang dipanggil mengikuti seleknas itu.
"Kita sudah mengirimkan surat pengunduran diri disertai dengan surat keterangan dari dokter ke PB PTMSI dan induk organisasi olahraga tenis meja di Tanah Air itu bisa memaklumi keadaan Yon," katanya.
Dengan mundurnya peraih medali emas tunggal putra perorangan PON XVI/2004 tersebut, kata dia, Jawa Tengah hanya diwakili Agus Fredy (yang sebelumnya membela Sumut di PON XVI,red), tetapi gagal karena hanya berada diperingkat ketiga di bawah Reno dan David..Cabang tenis meja mendapat kuota enam atlet untuk Pelatnas Asian Games. Satu orang sudah langsung ditentukan, yaitu M Husein yang pada Sea Games 2005 Manila lalu meraih medali emas.
Hasil seleknas menempatkan Reno Handoyo yang keluar sebagai juara pertama untuk menyusul M Husein sehingga masih ada kuota empat atlet lagi.
Deddy Kurniawan menyebut, dua akan diberikan pada atlet putri, yaitu Ceria Nilasari dan Christin Fer liana, sedangkan yang dua lagi akan ditentukan kemudian.
Yon Mardiyono berpeluang besar karena di Sea Games Manila bersama pasangannya, David Jacob, mereka meraih medali perak dan sampai sekarang pasangan ini masih merupakan yang terbaik di Indonesia.
David Jacob sendiri pada seleknas keluar sebagai juara dua, setelah dikalahkan oleh Reno Handoyo.
"Kami akan menunggu sampai kondisi Yon benar-benar pulih. Mungkin sekitar dua minggu lagi. TC sendiri akan dilakukan di Guang Zou, China," katanya sambil menambahkan M Husein saat ini sudah berada di sana. (*/lpk)

 Apapun namanya, tenis meja telah melalui jalan yang panjang sejak pertama kali diperkenalkan sebagai aktivitas pasca makan malam, alternatif yang lebih sopan dari tenis lapangan di Inggris pada tahun 1890an. Saat ini, para petenis meja bertanding memperebutkan hadiah uang yang besar, menggunakan raket berteknologi tinggi, dan memukul bola dengan kecepatan hingga 160 kilometer per jam. Tenis meja telah menjadi olah raga dengan tingkat partisipasi tertinggi di dunia, dimana 40 juta petenis meja profesional di seluruh dunia dan tak terhitung berapa juta orang lainnya yang bermain tenis meja untuk bersenang-senang semata.  
Permainan ini, yang memulai debutnya di Olimpade Seoul 1988, awalnya dimainkan dengan menggunakan tutup kotak cerutu sebagai raketnya dan gabus sampanye yang telah dibentuk sebagai bolanya. Sekarang ini, para pemain biasanya menggunakan raket kayu dan serat karbon berlapis karet dan bola seluloid kosong. Berbagai campuran karet dan lem digunakan pada raket untuk memberikan efek putaran atau kecepatan yang lebih baik.
Bahkan, sejumlah lem dilarang digunakan dalam pertandingan Olimpiade karena mampu mempercepat laju bola hingga 30 km/jam lebih cepat.
Kompetisi
Pertandingan tunggal putra, tunggal putri, beregu putra dan beregu putri merupakan empat kelas yang dipertandingkan dalam Olimpiade. Semuanya merupakan pertandingan terbaik dari lima set. Dalam pertandingan tunggal, 16 pemain terbaik langsung melaju ke babak utama, sementara 48 lainnya harus mengikuti babak kualifikasi terlebih dahulu. 16 pemain berikutnya akan melaju darai babak kualifikasi ini ke babak utama. Babak utama merupakan turnamen elinimasi tunggal. Pemenang semi final bertanding untuk menentukan pemenang medali emas dan perak, dan pemain yang kalah di semi final bertanding memperebutkan medali perunggu. Format yang serupa diterapkan untuk pertandingan kelas beregu, namun hanya 32 regu yang terlibat.
Tenis meja memliki aturan tegas yang menerapkan pelanti atas tindakan-tindakan tidak sportif, namun itu tidak menghentikan para pemain untuk melakukan permainan psikologi dan mendapatkan keuntungan. Memelototi lawan, berlama-lama dalam mengelap keringat dan mengikat tali sepatu adalah langkah-langkah yang umum dilakukan. Meskipun para pemainnya bertindak tanduk sopan, nama-nama pukulannya bersifat agresif dan kompetitif, misalnya the Kill, the Hit dan the Chop.
